Wow that is so crazy. Not only should we be able to carry cameras also police should wear one while on duty.

Not just that but they should be uploaded directly to the web on a public server.

even if they passed it, it would get struck down.

the supreme court has already ruled on it, and federal law trumps state.

The Eric Garner case.. the cop that suffocated him didnt get ****.. the only person that got charged was the guy with the camera from 30 feet away.

Misleading half-truth: The guy who recorded the death of Eric Garner was arrested.

Whole truth: Ramsey Orta, a thug with a long list of prior convictions including armed robbery, was arrested three weeks after the killing of Eric Garner, in a completely unrelated encounter, for possession of a stolen handgun.

And we've already established that criminals don't have rights. Eric Garner was selling black market cigarettes when confronted, he refused to ID, resisted, and died in the struggle.

If only. Prisons should be more like dungeons in a lot of cases. Would sure simplify things.

by WE i meant Joe P.

Prisons should be cleared of about 80% of their inmates. Would sure simplify things.

Also, more kids should have households in which they grow up with two married parents.

I'm just glad the threat of loose cigarettes is finally being taken seriously.

Garner died of a heart attack because poverty caused by the white man forced Big Macs down his throat all of his life.

When I first saw you saying things like this (eg: ironically implying that criminals have all of the same rights as citizens), I assumed that you were being sarcastic.

As time has passed and the argument has remained essentially static, I begin to wonder if you (meaning all liberal extremists, not just you specifically) don't perceive reality in the same way as the rest of us.

The irony here is not inconsiderable.
Potheads: You should, like, legalize marijuana and then tax it, man. That'd be like, a super way to reduce crime, ya know?

mgeoffriau: See how taxing tobacco causes violence and death?

criminals have all the same rights as you and me, except for felony disenfranchisement, jury selection, and firearm ownership.

i realize that their rights aren't always protected, like the right to breathe. hands up.

And, you know, also the rights to life and liberty.

But those are, admittedly, small points as compared to not being allowed to serve on a jury.

So you're saying that it should be illegal to arrest anyone, because an arrest is a deprivation of liberty without a conviction.
