NBC News is standing by misleading story on Trump’s visit to troops
There were merely seven hours and 47 minutes left of Christmas Day when NBC News published this story: “Trump becomes first president since 2002 not to visit troops at Christmastime.” It seemed to be a safe assertion, considering the scene at the White House on Tuesday morning. “The White House complex, you will be unsurprised to learn, is very quiet as of now,” wrote Niall Stanage of the Hill in a pool report on Christmas morning. Trump would later speak from the White House with service members at remote sites around the world, along with taking some questions from reporters.
So how far could the president stray?
Well, about 6,200 miles. Here’s what happened, in the words of a White House pool report that was embargoed until Wednesday afternoon: “Trump left the White House late on Dec. 25 for an unannounced movement to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. Pool was prepositioned on the plane and did not see Trump board. Air Force One was wheels up at 12:06 am ET on Dec. 26. POTUS landed at 11:16 am ET/ 7:16 pm local time at Al Asad Air Base, a joint U.S.-Iraqi military base west of Baghdad.” The president left under the cover of darkness in order to maintain operational security.

Correct the piece, NBC News, or prepare to stand legitimately accused of propagating fake news.

Assuming that electors are apportioned fairly (eg: in proportion to the size of the population they serve), then I don't think we'd see a huge difference in the end result. Just as today, the regions with the largest populations tend to be blue.

That time a nude selfie was a national security issue.
https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brief...pecial-counsel
A lawyer for a Russian company that has been indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller said Mueller has "collected a nude selfie" as part of his probe into the Russian company.
In the court filing, Eric Dubelier — an attorney for Concord Management and Consulting — accused Mueller's team of illegally keeping information from the company.
Dubelier also said in the filing that among the millions of records that the special counsel has collected as evidence in the case is a "nude selfie."
“Could the manner in which he collected a nude selfie really threaten the national security of the United States?” Dubelier wrote.
Concord Management and Consulting is among the Russian entities and Russian nationals that Mueller indicted earlier this year, accusing them of participating in a Russian troll farm's effort to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.
Mueller is investigating Russian interference in the election as well as possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.
