Never in my life have I been more embarrassed to be from Vancouver than today. Bunch of hooligan kids making my city look like trash. Vancouver PD is reporting that the majority of arrests last night were WA, OR, Toronto and EU residents who just came to Vancouver to cause trouble. Who shows up to a hockey game with a balaclava and a baseball bat, unless you already planned to riot? The majority of the people were just watching. Torched police cars, an M5... various smart cars. Coach, the Bay, London Drugs, LVuitton stores all looted.

The best part, is the masses of people bragging on FB/twitter and getting arrested. Local news is already reporting over 30 arrests today due to photos/video.









Hundreds of real Vancouverites hit the streets today in a mass clean up effort.

wait....this is over hockey???! Really?! Is it because they lost to an American team? I would have expected this from the monkeys in Miama after the heat just gave up, but this is ridiculous.

Yeah it's was basically all the bridge and tunnel crowd. IE. Not actual Vancouver residents. People came just to stir **** and riot for the he'll of it. In other countries they riot over opression and dictatorship etc. In Vancouver they riot over hockey. Lol.

 

That's not even it. The REAL fans realize that 17 out of 24 players on the Bruins are from Canada. I have a lot of respect for some of those players, one of which used to play for the Vancouver Giants and a few others are from BC. Sure it sucks we lost, but the people causing trouble are what you would call bandwagoners or just trouble makers.

My brother was in downtown for the game (where the city set up huge screens outside) and said the whole crowd was great during the game. Lots of families, kids etc. But he said the minute the game was over, people pulled masks out of their pockets and started shoving everyone around. They came with the pre-intention of starting a riot. And looks like they did.

I would have rioted because the game was so shitty. Vancouver had no legs it seemed. It was good to see Lucic hoist the Cup in his hometown. Chara looked like he was holding a Coors light can with the cup lol. Too bad for Luongo.

Yeah, it sucks. but the core group should still all be around next year. The game was def a huge dissapoint. Reading the injury list after the game it's no suprise really... I'm really impressed with Kesler though, he made zero excuses and wouldn't disclose any injury after the game (even though he was obviously hurt since the San Jose series). Classy player.
