I almost pulled a Zimmerman last weekend. I awoke at 4am to a girl yelling through the apartment well, and I had endless pounding on the door. Then I repeatedly heard "open the ------- door" over and over. Finally, after I grabbed the gun and went outside I heard "police, open the door!" I almost became a statistic.
My point is that people seem to have this idea that Zimmerman was some rogue cavalier guy who wanted to go teach someone a lesson. It was probably more of a case like what I experienced where something was going down and I was man enough to do something about it than let someone get hurt. |
