It's only on 1.6 and 94 1.8 blocks. A far a I've seen, everyone with 90 to 94 blocks, including me, use that port...

Or maybe it was the oil port that only came on 90 to 94? My memory sucks. In any case, i use the water port there and so have lots of others.

I can't find anything in a M12 x 1.25 to barb. Where did you find your barb fitting?

Now that I think about it, some probably don't use it because the mixing mani and the front housing have nipples right there ready to go. No point in pulling a plug and ordering a fitting unless you are removing the front neck and or mixing mani like we have done.

I wanted a 90 degree fitting and couldn't find what I needed without stacking up like 3 fittings, so I made my own banjo fitting. I couldn't even find an M12 to 8mm banjo to barb, easily or cheaply anyway. I have some m12 banjo bolts from my Subaru that I found after I made my own bolt, and I can make you a banjo block fitting thing if you want.

theres plenty of m12x1.25 to AN options though if you want to cobble that together somehow.

The Banjo bolt idea isn't bad, and I have thought about that too. I found a website that has the fitting in question and I ordered some. I kind of screwed up the order and got 8mm barb fittings which seem a bit small for my 3/8 ID slip fittings on my turbo. Not sure if that would cause a problem or not and the largest OD offered in the correct size is 10mm. I may just order these and try to recoup some of the cost by selling them to members on here for a few bucks shipped. Atleast until I break even with.

I'm planning on using that water port on my 1.6L as well. I just ordered both of these, let's hope they fit:

Nice, good fallback if mine doesn't work. I have the same turbo fitting as that, but I still have no started the car yet so I am not sure how well it works. If you have some issues with that setup and want to try a barb that I have PM me. I'll send it to you for shipping.

The water hook up at the T-stat is just too easy.

I mean, there is a freeze plug where my housing used to be. Cheap coolant reroute requires a bit more thought when keeping it cheap.

Here's the 2.5" intercooler plumbing kit I bought:

Aucxracing intercooler plumbing kit

Here's my coldside plumbing mocked up (I call this "The Cobra"):

The Cobra!

- it connects my Fab9 350hp intercooler coldside to my Skunk2 TB.

So from the original plumbing kit I only used a J bend and a cut-down 90* bend. The couplers were of no use (probably could have used one of the straight ones) and I used better clamps.
