I have recently started acquiring some parts for a 94 1.8L turbo build. Excuse my ignorance because I am just now starting to get all this together and really getting into turbo stuff for my 94 (I have been running NA for the past 6 years). A little background on my car. It's currently running pretty much stock everything. Standard cc fuel injectors and fuel pump. 4.1 Torsen with a swapped-in six speed transmission and a COP kit.

Although the turbo kit I will most likely be picking up isn't DIY, all the other stuff thrown in with it I would consider "DIY". This started off with me picking up a set of adjustable cam gears with cams, and a 99 intake manifold and ported head, shave 0.002. Custom cam specs are Intake: LIFT: 0.360, DURATION: 228 | Exhaust: LIFT: 0.360, DURATION: 228. The previous owner was running them on an NA engine with megasquirt and was getting around 140whp (that's what he said at least). So now that I've got these parts, I figured I'd turbo while the engine and transmission was out. I am looking at picking up a used Flyin Miata Stage 1 turbo kit. It's got pretty much everything that normally comes with the kit minus the boost gauge. My power goals are around 200whp but honestly I could go with a little less. Is there anything I should know about putting all of these items together or anything to look out for? I plan to get ARP head studs and a new clutch (obviously), but other than that I can't think of a whole lot else I want/need to upgrade while I am tinkering around. I have a coolant reroute kit I plan to install while the engine is out as well. Thanks in advance for any insight!
