1 Year Update

That looks fast in a way I don't usually see on a BP, very nice setup sir!

I would be building some sort of mount for that turbo. I would put cash money on that manifold vibrating and cracking.

I don't have any sort of good idea on how to brace it, I just know it will need it. With that much turbo weight hanging in such an uncommon location. No way it does not eventually crack somewhere. If you search old posts from JKav you can find some good braces he has made.

There's a factory lift point for the engine at the top corner on that side that may be useful.
Not knowing a damn thing myself but having talked to fast drag racers in lightweight cars, the 9-inch might be heavier and have more losses in such a lightweight car than a lighter Ford rear. Things don't need to be quite so heavy for such a light car and relatively modest power goals for a live axle. |
I think you might overshoot 250-300whp a little. :D

The wayback machine only saved back to page 5 out of 10 (noob settings). Too bad. I'd imagine IB has an archive but that's giving this guy credit for being more unique than he actually was.

Can that be undone? Ultimately I am guessing OP sold the car a few years ago. Then realized he still had all the posts up and he no longer wanted to share that info. As some of it could possibly identify him or something. So they edited to remove info, which is something that we allow. Generally when it happens, people just don't notice. |
Ah fair enough, didn't think of that.
