my fault, was talking about 300hp at motor not at wheels, and budget is always an issue :/

actually 6sp and 1.8 rear end are on, also oil cooler, reroute and alu rad...

bottom will be forged 1.6 with 8.4 pistons...

You can fill a 1.6 with bottles of mechanical empathy, two of the big ones, and it will still pop.

And who measures crank hp on this forum? You got an engine dyno in your *** or something? Measurable hp comes from the wheels on a street car. OEMs and race car shops may have engine dynos but we don't.

Why would you do that? It's not real. I don't understand the concept of taking measured real power and converting it to fairy-land numbers that don't mean anything.

Funny story - I had this convo on nabisco, and we arrived at the conclusion that the real number is somewhere in between. It does vary though, not directly proportional, which I can actually accept.

Correct, it's not a static loss. The more power you make, the higher the percentage.

I remember arguing about this with Corky a time or two on here.
