actually 6sp and 1.8 rear end are on, also oil cooler, reroute and alu rad...

bottom will be forged 1.6 with 8.4 pistons...

 

You can fill a 1.6 with bottles of mechanical empathy, two of the big ones, and it will still pop.

And who measures crank hp on this forum? You got an engine dyno in your *** or something? Measurable hp comes from the wheels on a street car. OEMs and race car shops may have engine dynos but we don't.

Why would you do that? It's not real. I don't understand the concept of taking measured real power and converting it to fairy-land numbers that don't mean anything.

 

No amount of mechanical empathy will let a 1.6 rear end last behind 300hp.

More importantly, have you measured it at every possible power number?

Have you raced a CLS63?

 

so when your 100hp motor is stock, you're only making 85hp to the wheels (15hp loss), but once your build it and make 300 crank power, you're only going to be at 255 at the wheels (45hp loss)?

that sucks.

Funny story - I had this convo on nabisco, and we arrived at the conclusion that the real number is somewhere in between. It does vary though, not directly proportional, which I can actually accept.

 

Correct, it's not a static loss. The more power you make, the higher the percentage.
