400rwhp Stock Motor.

A good size T3 will do the job. A T3/T4 would too, but it won't spool as well. But for small engine/big turbo engines, that's good for keeping them from surging. But not desirable from a streetability point of view. I guess I need to do more research on whatever turbo y8s is using, but my GT3271 spools to 7 PSI over 1k RPM's sooner than his, with a MBC..... And I thought mine was basically the same thing with a bigger turbine, which means it should spool later, not sooner.

It all depends. For example, Paul made 300whp at 14 PSI on a GT2560. Impressive. But did like 310whp at 17 PSI. Not too impressive. Had he went to 20 PSI, might have seen 325whp. 28 PSI, 360whp? Who knows, but basically 14 is the sweet spot for his setup and turbo. I wouldn't assume just because someone else with a bigger turbo did 400whp with 18 means you can with a smaller turbo.

Looks like my GT3271 has a smaller compressor but a larger turbine compared to a GT2876R. For y8s low boost, he doesn't need that big of a compressor. Big comp + small turbine = laggy. Mine's the opposite basically. A compressor that's not that big but a big turbine. Mine will make more HP per PSI than his, but his has the potential to make more peak power if he runs it up to 28 PSI or so, where mine is done after 23 PSI and ~350whp, his could do 400whp it seems. Still surprised mine spools as well as it does considering the turbine is kinda big. I guess it helps not having an oversize compressor for my goals.
