Looks like everything will be done in the prototype shop using manual machines, so there will be only one of each part. 1 of the 2 prototype machinists is leaving in a week so I will probably be the guy making it on the weekend...which I prefer. I assumed they'd be done on the CNC's but the lathe programmer is 'busy'...anyways I'll stop ranting. it's annoying.
If it works I may look into having an outside shop quote a few.
If anyone knows a competent CAD/CAM guy with 5 axis CNC, prototype, manual machining, Jesel is looking for one or two...

Shoulda bought that Vizio on blackfriday sale. Damnit.
The garretts were my first choice just because...well it's a garrett and if you're not running a tial turbine housing, they last forever and work well.
THen the BW EFR's come out, sorta, and those are hard to find and big money.
Then I look at the Airwerks BW's, those are available, very inexpensive. Playing on fullrace's site shows the 200SX (56MM S256 that faefloral linked to) seems to be a fun turbo. Seems to be similar in size to the 3076's perhaps. Trackspeed loves me so I get a great price on that baby XOXO.
Full-race's page on that turbo with additional info in addition to what Fae linked to:
Full race S200SX
Then someone somewhere ??? hints that those are too small, I look towards bigger turbos that can make 500rwhp at a pump gas friendly ~18psi, as if the response will still be driveable on the street. I *supposedly* can get a sweetheart deal on Precisionz so I look at those at PRI a bunch and get some info...that's where I'm at now. Still waiting back from them on price and what they recommend.
I may just go back to the BW airworks, B200SX/B256, in T4 twinscroll and a couple MVS'.
My sweetheart deal on gforce helical/synchroed .80 5th gearset (a part they source elsewhere) ended up being $14 more than available online retail, haha. So who knows what Precision will end up quoting me.

Garrett GT and GTX are old news, imo. They are overpriced and under perform for what you pay. It really hit hard when Full Race posted back to back tests/dynos of the Borg Warner S series outspooling and outpowering the GTX turbos, and at a fraction of the cost.
Tim, I am drooling over this build and it's hardly started, haha. Please post some pics a.s.a.p.

See you spout that but I've seen many threads disproving that statement.
If properly matched up, they perform very similar and are priced very similar. The efr vs gtx wheel sizing and aero is very different and cannot be simply compared based on "turbine/compressor physical dimentions".
1 test doesn't prove jack. I love EFR's too but gee wizz you guys take it to a whole 'nother level

The S series is not "similarly priced" either, wtf.

Trust me, I'm not spewing for no reason. It's not "one test either", it was multiple tests with the twinscroll S series and GT garretts and GTX garretts. I don't want to start posting links and pics in Tim's thread so I'll just PM you, ok baby?
The S series is not "similarly priced" either, wtf.

EDIT: oh and pictures...yeah, great disappointment at the slow pace on this end too. I'll take some pics when I get back to work Monday. My pistons are at the block machinist though. "it'll be done by christmas". Same with the heads...

A good percentage of the turbos I've sold with tial vband turbine housings attached have had the 6mm tial CHRA bolts loosen up resulting in a damaged turbine wheel and a ~$450 CHRA exchange bill.
Drilling the inconel CHRA bolts for safety wire, and actually using safety wire, is required.
