This is to be positioned forward of the differential.

I think mine was 5 or 6" round. Fits fine. Had exhaust shop put it in tunnel between dp and diff. Its a 3" id straight thru type

I had 2. Both were around that od and both were long as hell.
sounded excellent and fit fine, though was VERY close fitment

I have a 4" exhaust and there is plennnnty of room. Should have gone 8"
