I know there's a few of you but maybe not close. Anyone know this car?:

I'm in the market for a '99 to turbo and this would be a good starting point since the motor is up to snuff for higher boost.
Thanks,
Frank Mowry

I don't really care about his perceived performance numbers as I'd be ditching the turbo/mani/voodoo and going with a T3 based turbo and probably an EMU. I've already got the BEGI T3 manifold that was on sale last month.
I'd just like to get an idea on the shape of the car. Granted I wouldn't go up to a 10K reserve but if I could get it for a steal and it was in good shape I might do it.
Magnamx-5, how far are you from Bowling Green? If anyones close I'd certainly be willing to compensate for them to check it out. Any trusted shops in that area? If I could get an idea of the general shape of the car and probably a compression test from a dealership or local shop, it'd go a long way in me putting a bid in or making an offer.
Thanks,
Frank

Lemme know if you head that way. It is listed for 4 1/2 more days but who knows if he'll hit his reserve.
Feel free to check at the Baltimore DC listings for NAs and I can check out local cars. I'm 30 mins from both. 2 '90s in the Baltimore area.

I live in Plano...The car is running stock injectors , which is fine for the amount of boost im pushing. I have never had the car dyno'd or tuned. Yes, I am still running the voodoo box. Since im running the voodoo and the injectors are stock I have felt no extreme need to tune the car at this point. If someone were to upgrade injectors and add a high end fuel controller then there would obviously be very beneficial to tune the car. A mechanic friend of mine did the engine rebuild. Bosnian fellow that graduated Western Kentucky University with an engineering degree. Extremely smart guy and had his own mechanic shop on the side. I have a slip somewhere from the track showing the car running low 14s as well as a high 13. Feel free to call me if you want to talk about the miata....
thx joe

I looked at nester's when it was first posted on miata.net classifieds. A bit too rich for my blood. Not that it isn't worth it, but that's why I'm looking at 99-00. To keep the cost down a bit.

Hopefully it doesn't burn oil with those pistons. Actually for the limited driving I'd be doing it would even be an issue either way. I just want to make sure the motor is tight and not some home brew, non-precise, throw 'em in and zip it up install.
