Because 250 vs 440...eh, it looks tempting.
This is something that could be emulated with a "port plate" installed between the turbo and the manifold. Which is where the original idea was generated from. As some may or may not know some chevy manifolds have plenum dividers in place to help increase intake velocity and prevent fuel ***** from bouncing around the plenum. I basically reversed the idea while considering the effect that one sees with a divided tang tubine inlet and suggested that to Corky as an improvement over the existing design. Corky seemed to like the idea and implemented in his own fashion capturing the idea I had and making it a practical casting. There are several ways to address the flow issues in the original manifold but obviously a new casting let him address a number of areas with the least amount of rework and retooling.

Is their coolant reroute like most other reroutes (out the back of the head) or what they call their modified heater core outlet, or something else?

Sorry you aren't the one to ask these things, but besides BEGI you know the most about their products I think.
yes 1-4 and 2-3 fire together, but remember that we have a wasted spark setup and while cylinders 1 and 4 are both tdc at the same time, one is exhausting and the other is firing. Actually, none of the cylinders fire at the same time, the firing order is, i believe 1-3-2-4 in that order. Please correct me if im wrong.
