BEGI Intake manifold install pics
I finally got this thing completely installed. I put it all on there the first time and my car wasnt running correctly. I think I had a leak somewhere but I wasnt sure exactly where it was coming from so I took at all off and installed it a 2nd time making sure to double check everything. The second time was a charm, it now runs perfectly. I havent really gotten to drive it too much yet so I wont make any guesses about power gains. I will be taking it back to the dyno in a couple weeks to see the gains ( hoping for some gains at least ). Like I mentioned before in a previous thread, if you are planning to install this thing consider these things...
1. It will NOT fit with a stock 1.6L Throttle body unless you get the FM TB spacer used in their 1.8 swap kits. I would assume the 1.8L TB may fit since its TPS isnt such a large ***** like the 1.6L's.
2. Stock 1.8L fuel rail doesnt fit without having to bend some of the metal fuel lines attached to the rail.
3. There is no spot for a PCV valve ( and im currently not running one although I plan to put one back on ).
4. The throttle cable needs to be played with a little bit because there is too much slack even fully adjusted tight.
Here are some pics, I think it looks great in black since I have a black theme in my engine bay

LOL right, thats because all the vacuum lines come off the bottom on the manifold and there is nowhere else to run them that I can see. I have a ton of stuff that needs vacuum on the left side of the engine bay
the throttle body sits lower and closer to the headlight now. All it took was cutting a little bit off of an ic pipe to shorten it. 15min and that was all it took. It took me 2 hours the 2nd time and 6 hours the first time...its not really too bad.
On marc kulaks old car he went from 284whp to 310whp with just the manifold installed. Moves the powerband a little bit...I think he lost like 5ft/lb in the middle but gained a lot up top.
