Hi, my name is Hal and I'm one of the guys involved in the development of the AXON boost controller. I'm really happy that you guys are showing interest in it. We are currently testing the controller thanks to the generosity of a few forum members. We want to make a few revisions before we start selling them, and we're looking at a couple of month timetable to take care of that. But if we get enough people lined up (say 15-20), we could probably accelerate things a bit.

The expected price is going to be in the 200-250 range. We hope to have a very effective and dead simple unit at a reasonable price, while leaving a few extra i/o ports and a PC interface for future upgradability and advanced features.

We have been getting some good feedback from the people using it, they like the easy install, simple tuning, and no-nonsense approach to it. They have also been great at pointing out the things that need to change (thanks bripab007, braineack, and Jeff (don't know your forum handle)). We are going to move from the current plastic/epoxy casing that we have on the current units, to an aluminum extrusion. The current unit mounts well under the hood, but not as well in-cab. So we're going to address that.

So thanks for the interest... check in on our website every now and again (www.2g-eng.com). Feel free to post any questions or anything here, or contact me directly (hglenn at 2g-eng dot com).

You might want to check out the AEM trueboost. Under $300 for a boost controller, digital gauge, and selenoid.

Yeah, we were just talking about it earlier. Kinda hard to compete with big shops like AEM, but we'll see what happens

No need to compete on price..just have it made available and I am in. I like the stealthness of it. My next car is going to have 0 traditional round gauges. I don't need the flashing light show. Just a good product that works.

The appeal of the axon is its plain black wrapper. That will attract a lot of people.

Will the axon come with a selenoid?

Yeah, I'm sure we could provide the Axon with or without the solenoid and harness. It should work fine with just about any three port solenoid. The Humphrey piece looks interesting. It's the same price as the GM part ($10 for solenoid and $13 for the harness), but I don't know how the specs compare.
