This is what I currently have and it sounds heavenly (IMO). I'm building the 3" to essentially copy the tone. SR20 T25, shooting for 220 @12-14psi, downpipe is currently going to be a FM 2.5". Cat is undecided, Test pipe is the best solution, but I'm on the fence about that. Regardless, here's my plan for making a 3" SS catback. I'll measure and cut it in my garage, then take it to a welder to save fabrication costs. Hoping to get away with a straight pipe back to the diff, then the two 90s will be cut at needed angles to route over to the psg side, muffler, you guys have brains.....

2.5" flange to 3" pipe adapter: $40
3" Magnaflow Spun Cat: $117
5ft 3" SS Pipe (might need 2): $33
2x 3" 90* Bend: $64

Labor: ?

Any suggestions? I'll get a 3" DP eventually, but for now I just need something better than a 2" cat and a 2.25 catback.

I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, I love the idea you have. I had it myself...and speaking only from my own experience of building my (ugly) but functional exhaust, I think you are underestimating getting it all to fit. The big red flag to me is that you are going to be cutting all these pieces and expecting them to be welded up by someone else. Even if you have everything perfectly lined up, welding the pipes is going to warp / bend them a little bit. So unless you have a jig, or you are building the exhaust one piece at a time on the car, I think you are going to waste a lot of money. There really is no room for error around the diff, it's a matter of millimeters.

You may want to check out Enthuzacar. He's semi local for you here in GA. I wish I had started with his kit vs building my own. Good Luck

I agree. You will never get it to fit right. A custom exhaust needs to be done one piece at a time on the car.

Emailing Enthuzacar, he has good off the shelf options (for the price wow!) that I can use if all else fails.

No where near as easy as you think it is. A shop unless you are friends with them probably won't be overly happy with you bringing in pre-cut parts and such. Building an exhaust is a bit of magic and everyone does things slightly different. So having to try to work with someone pre-cut pipes would be a nightmare. Might even spend more time then just doing it myself.

Enthuzacar isn't making exhausts any more. At least not in a timely manor. You can search on here for a review of a guy who spent i think almost a year dealing with Enuthzacar for a exhaust over the lat year or two. And this is coming from someone who has met Jason@enthuza many times and has used more then 1 of his exhausts.

I know a guy a short drive away from you who has 3" exhausts sitting on the shelf ready to go. wink wink nudge nudge.
