Remember I never said I knew all of this. Hell I don't get alot about engines. But i do understand more than most. My initial question was very basic and the really smart people seemed to answer it smartly. The rest are just trying to prove they are smart or being assholes so i'm done with this thread.
Thanks to the people who answered my question on what boost they have seen run on built engine. I bet hustler likes the few respones I got. Since his question was basically the same thing. |

So when I prove myself right you become alittle crybaby. And volume is constant. You only have so much piping, intercooler, manifold, and combustion chamber. You fill it the same amount every 360 degress.

Usually when a thread goes this many pages, something worthwhile is being discussed.
Except with Peter Pan. Here's the rest of the pics. Sounds kinda tinny now. I don't like it. This thread is sucking ass, so why not threadjack all over it. |
You can sell that shit that came out of the catalytic converter. FYI.
|
Scavenge the flanges and have a muffler shop weld a pipe into it. With the right muffler and a turbo, test pipes sound bitchin'. Mine has NO rasp.

2.5 bar is to be exact 36.2595 Sorry I don't usually do bars. I thought you had to remove a bar for one atmosphere. So I thought it was 1.5 of boost on top of one 1 atm. I deal in kpa or psi.
Jesus christ, my vote is ALL of you guys just got trolled hard. http://www.salagir.com/gfx/troll-web.jpg |
Take a 3" hole-saw cutter to each end of the cat. Then slide a 3" pipe in it. Weld the cat-cover to the pipe. Weld flanges on. 3" pipe that looks like a cat.
|
I think the stock diameter is entirely too small for a turbo motor. Even a small one.

Also using a pressure washer will blow that shit out of the catalytic converter in a hurry. If you don't have one, go to the car wash.

Hey, I'm in Florida! We don't have to prove we've even got cats. No smog checks. No inspections.
I just wanted to do something to the car because I could. I'll get a real exhaust fabbed when I bolt the TD04L-13T on it. We've got an autocross next Saturday and I wanted to see if the car revved a little better without the restriction. I think it does slightly better at the 5500-7000 rpm range. But, if I knew it would sound tinny, I wouldn't have done it. P.S. Signing off for the night... |
Yeah, no emissions crap in MS either.
Looks like chucky got the point. |
holy shit. I hate people like that. You give them an answer and they get all retarded because you did not tell them what they wanted to hear.
OP needs to go turbo a civic with a D15 and shut the fuck up. |
I has a turbo miata.
