A little common sense goes a long way, I mean it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. If you keep the exhaust temperature inside the manifold and the turbine housing, you also keep the heat inside at the same time, more heat=more energy, which means better spool. It is really not that complicated. Some ceramic coatings reduce friction and are therefore applied to bearings and/or piston skirts, which in turn reduces heat in those areas, that is why those articles talk about thermal management, some places you want heat, some you don't. What is wrong with you? I though you were a college grad!!!&#%^

anyone knows that exhaust flows better when its heated bad wording but yeah. pretty much that is y you heat wrap to keep heat IN so that the gases flow better. ceramic does the same thing. on my evo i did ceramic inside of manifold and dp and outside of everything including compressor housing of turbo. then i wrapped as much as i could and used turbo blankets. i pretty much hit boost instantaneously with stock turbo and my fp green (16g with 20g wheel) 35r also spooled better compared to other evos with similar setups. its cheap and keeps underhood temps down which is a main concern with miatas i've noticed
