Question CSF Intercooler

I am going with BEGis DIY turbo. Looking at the CSF intercooler. I have a 97 and will be installing a KOYO 53mm rad.

Appreciate comments on the construction and effectiveness of the CSF IC

Their story and info sound good. But one never knows. The alternative is to spend more $$$ on BEGi's entire kit.

I think the CSF IC is made in the US.

I thought they were out of business years ago?

My radiator is CSF.

Gotta love the info on their intercoolers:

Only a GD/UI guy or web developer can translate that.

Thanks. I do not know what in the hell I am doing. But do you have pictures of the inside of the IC. Also, is it a problem to bolt on with a KOYO 53mm rad.

Intercooler goes in front or radiator. Bigger radiators get closer to the motor, not to bumper.

Correct. The radiator isn't ever a concern. Here is a photo of the inside.

For comparison's sake, here's a sloppy CX racing intercooler I cut up to change the direction of one of the outlets. Notice how the turbulators arent as consistent, some are all bent up, and the welds are occasionally blobby.

Yeah you read it wrong. It says 90-05 on the website, meaning 1990-2005.

Have you already ordered the KOYO 53mm radiator? If not I would highly suggest saving a good chunk of change and just ordering a generic aluminium one off ebay for about $120 shipped. It will work just as well along with freeing up money in the budget for other parts.

Oh come on that's not bad at all for a chinese core.

Fab9 uses Vibrant cores which should be nicer as can be seen in their pic. While I haven't held a vibrant core in person, I generally trust Vibrant parts. I even wear their Tshirt to work from time to time.
