Good luck, Ryan. I think you'll do fine. There's a plethora of information and experience here. Stick around and study the things that were important enough to be included in the FAQs and stickys and you will be well ahead in the game.

There's a lot of straight talk here and no one is afraid to let people know when they are heading for trouble. You will never get it handed to you sugar-coated, so when you get several people here telling you that you are on the right path to success, you know it's true. That way you will only be spending money and time on something that will work well and you will only have to do it once. It saves you from repeating the mistakes of others. Directness in advice is practiced here. It can be abrasive, but abrasives by their nature tend to strip away the BS and get to the underlying elements quickly.
