Default The difference between 5 and 8PSI

As per my other post the turbo (ex KFJ) is in and running. I started a low boost until I was sure that there was no knock etc before winding it up slowly.

I started with at 5psi - you could feel the difference - although to be honest, whilst happy to have the additional power I was a bit underwelmed. I guess I had higher hopes.

So I would it up to 8PSI - bl00dy hell - its like a hammer in the face. The difference is like night and day. ...... and I like it ..... I like it a lot!

I still have the fuel tuning to go - so I know that there is a lot more power at the same PSI rating. A new clutch is going in very soon (1.8 size with a lightened flywheel) and then Ill run her up to 12 PSI.

This thing is going to be a monster.

so you went from 150-160rwhp to 170-180rwhp, just wait.....

with your setup (judging by sig), I wouldn't run less than 220rwhp!

With the full Link setup, just call Keith at FM and get him to send you a 12psi map. With the WB, knock sensor, and EBC, you shouldn't have to do anything except drive it.
At 8psi, the stock clutch is going to be gone in a matter of days.... then just dial up 12psi and lay the hammer down! The Link does everything else.

yeah, you went from like 150rwhp to 180rwhp. Feels good, but soon it will seem slow to you.

So much for the boost - Looks like I have a boost leak (bummer!!!!) - its really slow to spool up (GT2554R) now only getting 1-2 PSI upto 4krpm then upto 8PSI 5.5k and over. I'm running a manual boost controller at the moment.

I want more.

Its actually worse to have had boost and lost than never to had boost.
