Default Disco Potato or T3 Super 60?

I am trying to decide which direction to go with my new setup on the 1.8 and this is where I am at.

Option 1
Begi Manifold - $389
Begi Downpipe - $325
GT2860RS w/ internal gate - $1175
Total - $1889

Option 2
Begi Manifold for external gate - $489
Begi Downpipe - $325
T3 Super 60 - $625
Tial 38mm Wastegate - $229
Total - $1668

I know I can get better pricing though WOT, but this is just for comparisons sake. What power can I expect from either of these at 15 psi and when would I see max boost? Any pros or cons on the 2 setups?

The only reason I went T3 is because I got a smoking deal on an used ETD manifold and 3" turboback exhaust. And used turbos with no shaftplay are stupid cheap as well.

You shouldn't even be THINKING about a straight T3 at those prices.

I'd prefer to go with a divorced gas DP and that is the only way with the T3 correct?

Actually, you could make something like this setup for the 300ZX turbo that has a divider that fits past the turbo flange to separate the exhaust paths.

that would require a turbo with a wastegate built into the turbine housing. I don't believe any T3s have that option. So you need to buy a swing to bolt itself to the turbine housing....I don't think i've seen one with the option for divorced....only one exit.

This one on ATP's site should allow it, I'd think. Granted, you start spending all the money on a custom DP setup, and it may not be worth it in the long run.

I don't remember, would it puke and die at 15 psi? The compressor map looks like it should have no problems? About the 2871R, how laggy is it? I really want a turbo that will spool quick.

Option 3:

BEGI Manifold, Downpipe, Tial 38mm, Ghettocharger

$1243

FTMFW 300 RWHP @ 15 PSI tuned, Max Boost ~5,000 RPM (4,300 in top gear) or add a 50 HP shot of N2O and spool that bitch at 3k with the $400 you saved.

I'd do an EWG and a 2871R, but it really depends on what you're looking for. I don't like the potato in general since it feels like a middle step that doesn't really need to be taken. You can hit 250whp if you push a GT2560R, and it will spool faster than either a T3S60 or a potato, and if you want more power, you're going to have some lag anyway so IMO it's worth it to sacrifice that little extra bit to get the added flow of the big hotside on the 2871.
