Won't last

DNA54 12-06-2015 06:00 PM

272 on mustang dyno, but with extrimely high iat: 79 degrees celsius
The torque is pretty close to 400 nm (295 ft lbs) but an issue with the boost table lowered the pressure just at that point..
I hoped to see 300 or so hp, but the bp-05 head it's not a good flowing one, so... I will change my turbo.
Eventually.

Tomorrow I will post a screen (it's midnight here...)

That's a very tight circuit. Are they afraid you will go too fast if they make longer straights?

DNA54 12-25-2015 02:23 PM

it's a little go-kart track, very short but also difficult because of the 2nd gear turns
isn't fast but very funny!

you really have a gift of destruction hahaha

90civichhb 01-12-2016 03:43 PM

You have to be doing this for fun now. You need to either weld a gusset on the break away point or get an FC differential.

stefanst 01-12-2016 07:28 PM

I will NEVER let you drive my car :dealwithit:

NBoost 01-13-2016 12:43 PM

Curious. Have you ever had your driveshafs/U-joints balanced/checked? Ever done the PPF alignment procedure? Just can't see this amount of diff. destruction without something being off somewhere. Unless, driving like a complete ass and intentionally wheel-hopping the bastard, also possible.

Sweet choice on an EFR though.

I also lowered the boost a little bit before 4500 rpm
now it's like 160kpa until 4500 and after 240 kpa. awful, but the torque is veeery low now

elijah_mckay 01-18-2016 03:15 AM

Just read through the whole thread tonight, really nice. You turned a really crappy "noob" turbo build into an awesome (while diff destroying) car.

News:

The extended lower ball joints are arrived and installed (no pics), now the maximum front camber with stock height is -3.5 degrees, setted to -2.5 front and -1.5 rear, great grip so far. We did a track day to test it with some old 2006 tyres and it's awersome! Much more speed everywhere.

Bads: the breaks stop the internal wheel more often, probably due to the less area in contact. Also I ran with the old diff (end of his life sadly...) and the cracked ppf, and (I didn't know since I unbolted them) a cracked turbine bolt.
