The blue rotors indicate a proper transfer layer and proper operation. No need to worry :)

Nice brakes. Now you need very sticky tires. Try to find used race tires in the correct size for track days.

I've broke my first 6spd gearbox
I'm cruising at 100 kph to home now, without 4th gear, it's making terrible sounds :hatecat: |
What flywheel are you using?
|
Stock one, I think that it can help to suppress the crankshaft pulses before they go into the gearbox

How much power are you making now? |
Around 300, but driving hard...
Now I'm swapping another 6 spd and the efr 6758 |

Thanks for posting the build DNA54 really enjoy reading it. Also I am moving to Ireland soon and plan to do my own turbo build so its nice to know I can get parts in Europe haha
|
The clutch is gone, 1.5mm abrasion on the flywheel, time for a new one.
Since I'm in Italy I have to wait at least one month for a new clutch, so I'm using the same until it arrives The gearbox is in btw |

I'm coming from a trackday, the car was terrible.. I've had to run just 6 psi because, well... with street tyres I really see the limits of the stock suspensions.
The car was "jumping" from a turn to another and oversteer was real, funny, but laptimes are slow.. terrible! I'm looking at the tein flex z now, great price! |
Have you seen the DIY Bilstein coilover thread? I can send you parts if you need them.

-stock height && adjustable (or similar, but not slammed) -adjustable damping force -I must adjust the dampening in short time, so without taking off the wheel -no more than 6/7 kg/mm (336/392 lbs/in) blisteins are not adjustable, and I want to choose good and choose once, so I have two ways: tein flex z: TEIN Flex-Z Coilover Kit (With Upper Mount) FRONT 392 lbs/in, REAR 336 lbs/in. for Miata and the maxspeedingrods, chinese I suppose, but the springs are 1 kg over what I'm looking for (336/448 lbs/in): High Performance 90-98 Mazda Miata MX5 24 Ways Adjustable Coilover Suspension Kits - Maxspeedingrods.co.uk Today I opened the gearbox: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1460918224 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1460918224 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1460918224 and for those who love hi-res: http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/...psflucpovg.jpg |
Why the requirement for such low spring rates?
|
because it's my daily car, and I like to enjoy street driving too, I don't want a track only car
|
forget the maxspeedingjunk. don't even consider it
|
Quality shocks will give you a good ride. Xidas at a lower spring rate with ride fantastic. I had FCMs at 550/350 rates and the ride was phenomenal.
|
You dont need adjustable shit.
