Default DSM stock J-pipe coupler

ok, here's a question:

Been planning on using the stock J-pipe (compressor outler pipe) that came stock on a DSM. But it's about a 1.75" OD, iirc. I'm planning on using 2" intercooler pipe. Any ideas where to find a reducer like that for < $mad bank$?

Thanks

You want a 2" coupler.

Hmmm, I'll go make a more accurate measurement.

I'm talking about this piece in the attached photo.

Just measured with some calipers. Does indeed appear to be 1 3/4"

I also measured my intercooler inlet/outlet again; they appear to be 2 1/16". That close enough to push on some 2" couplers?

Thanks guys. I'll probably take a look at siliconeintakes.com

Heat them up.

I have got to be retarded. Where did you get such a sexy looking pipe?

Anyways, place your coupler in boiling water for 5 minutes and you can easily get another 1/2" worth of diameter out of it. I used some KY for good measure and don't forget a glove of some sort.

1/2, eh? I've seen that thread before...very nice. Perfect to stretch some 2" over the 2 1/16" intercooler inlet/outlet.

Then I guess I'll just need a 1 3/4" to 2", and then a 2 1/4" to 3" for the compressor inlet.

Neat stuff. I'll wait to order until I get the intercooler mounted and routing worked out more specifically. Thanks guys
