tronik you haz to use mitsu flanged turbo. So 16g, 20g..etc...

The first TD05 you listed is very similar, in specs, to the 2560. I would get that one.

So....even though this thread went another route, I have another question.

I've always been one to say no gaskets, but that usually leaves me with exhaust leaks once they blow out.

After doing some searching I'm thinking of going with copper gaskets from SCE. http://www.scegaskets.com/Turbo-and-...orGaskets.html

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I would be getting one for the manifold, downpipe, and for the ewg. So roughly $30 for the gaskets isn't bad in my book.

Does anyone happen to know the size of the ewg flange? Everything is still bolted up to the car so I cant check mine to reference it.

No idea on the EWG size, but I've heard nothing but good things about SCE copper gaskets. I'll be using them on my car.

I've used high temp silicone before and had it blow out in less than a days time.

I did some searching and it seems lots of people praise the use of copper gaskets. I actually never heard of them before until I searched "turbo gaskets" about 30 mins ago.

Not silicone, grease. 18psi did it, and Ive heard from others that it seals very well.

no not yet. If it's drop shipped from china, it could be awhile, but I have ordered from CX in the past (IC stuff) and gotten it in a reasonable amount of time. Their IC stuff is a big time recommend btw.

I don't expect to be able to use the Man/Dp out of the box even if it looks alright. I plan to weld bracing between the engine flange and the turbo flange, and to make relief cuts on the manifold. The downpipe doesn't cone with a secondary O2 bung, so I will weld one on. if my crappy wire welder can handle all that, anyway. It can on mild steel. Have to hope everything lines up properly..

purchased the TD05 from CXlighting over the weekend. Bigtime thanks to those that weighed in.

The turbo just came today! I'll upload some pictures after I clean my desk off.

It came in WAY faster than I expected via FedEx, and it was handed to me (not left on the porch in the rain) once I signed for it.

Out of the box it looks as expected and the fins actually spin, unlike my Garrett.

Pictures!

Now I guess I need to take off the wastegate and have that **** welded closed. I also need to order gaskets, some hardware, make sure my coolant and oil lines are good to go, etc. So this probably wont be going on the car until next week, but at least its here! lol

Looks good to me! The wastegate arm angle looks a little steep but if you are welding it up anyway no worries.

I love it how Chinese companies selling product to the US feel compelled to put USA, or US, or American, or some US city, or some other reference to the US in the name, even though most know it is from China. Harbor Freight is full of stuff with names like that.

What about emusa turbo? My sister's b/f has one on his civic coupe and no problems so far. T3/T4.

Sells waste gates and blow off valves and what not.

Are Garrett and Ebay turbo parts interchangeable? IE could you hypothetically speaking put an Ebay compressor housing on a Garrett CHRA? Or more specifically, can I put a GT30 .63AR Tial V-band turbine housing on a T3/T4 Ebay Chinacharger?

Pictures indicate it's plausible, but I've looked and haven't found any evidence that the two are compatible sizewise.

I remember Scott said he was going to try and see if the parts are compatible. Ask him.

I would like to confirm that this thing actually has "standard" flanges, not like some ebay turbos I have read about recently on here that use slightly different flanges to really mess your build up. Looks like a steal for $300 shipped.

Would you guys think this thing would be comfortable at 10psi (or whatever would put me in the ~200-220whp range)?
