Default ETD Manifold-turbo match

alright, so i ordered the ETD manifold & dp. the specs say it works with 16g mitsu turbo/t25. when i searched, it looked like those were two completely different turbos. can someone help point me in the right direction?

The mitsu flange is different than the standard garret T25 flange.
T25 more refers to the CHRA assembly I believe while the manufacturer determines the turbo inlet flange style. You'll want a DSM T25 for that manifold if that's the flange you ordered it with.

The compressor is the difference, not the turbine. They will both bolt up.

You're correct that the two turbos are completely different. The T25 is pretty small, and will spool quickly even with partial throttle. It will also run out of steam as redline approaches. The Nissan SR T25 is a better choice. I have not experienced a 16G on a miata, but I say it will be a good choice for some great power.

Before you buy a turbo, post up a new thread to discuss.

I also thought mitsu T25 flanges were different than other T25's?????? So if you have a manifold that says it will fit T25 it will work with either a mitsu T25 or a DSM T25?

They are.

"mitsu T25" and "DSM T25" are the same thing. DSM = Mitsubishi.

If your asking if T25s are all the same and should all work then the answer is no. The flange will vary by manufactor. The Nissan T25 flange for example is square, while the Mitsubishi flange is round.

The producer of the manifold and downpipe should specify what turbo fits. If they don't...

the exhaust flange is completely different.
