Default ETD shorty turbo manifold crack *&^%$#

Would this be fixable or not?

When I got it I wanted to slot the flange. Some people said all those who slotted it got a crack. Well I guess it cracks whether or not you slot it.

Welds never break, just the heat affected zone.

Sure it can be fixed. Clean it out, bevel it out / grind out the crack. Weld it back up.

So why would the ETD using schedule 40 weld-els crack, and this ARTech mani not?:

Or this ABSURDflow one?:

artech mani's have cracked before
so have ABSURDflows
and a wittyworks manifold
All got repaired/re-welded and went on their merry way.

its just how it goes with an un-braced/supported tubular on a BP. how many miles is on yours? I'm pretty sure it's lasted you quite some time now

how's your exhaust mounting? do you have a flex pipe? is it attached to the tranny?

I have the FM exhaust brace which braces exhaust next to the cat, to the PPF.

Downpipe has flex joint (BEGI dual pipe, custom for ETD mani)

About 20k - 25k miles on it, and only a few track days, first one at 15 psi (was 10 psi).
