Default TDR A/A IC with new Begi turbo kits?

Anyone using a TDR A/A IC with one of the new Begi turbo kits? I have the TDR IC(from a supercharger set up) and am looking to go with either the Begi S or S1 kit. I know Ill just need the piping from turbo to IC. Not sure (tried emailing Gary at TDR with no response) if TDR makes this pipe already but my guess is no.

Have BEGi rotate the turbo for an -S kit install. Then buy the FM IC kit for $1295

which is 2x the cost of BEGi's own......

TDR already makes the pipe that fits. They have pictures of it on their website. Look in the photogallery.

All you would need to do is clock the turbo up and buy or make the hotside pipe. I would like a setup like that but not for $1300

there's no modding needed. the FM kit will work an a BEGi setup as it, as long as the turbo is rotated correctly.

however i dont see why you'd spend $1200 on something like that, when BEGi's own kit cost $650.....

i'm I missing something? He already has the IC. he is just looking for the piping to connect a BEGI system to his TDR IC.

I bet they want way more than its worth for that pipe.

For the price of that pipe and clocking the turbo (if it needs it and you dont know how) I bet you could build a nice ebay kit cheaper and then sell what you have and come out way ahead.

The best option if you know how, is to clock the turbo up if it already isnt and make your own hotside pipe.

I looked at those pictures, those are FM kits not BEGI kits. Do Begi and FM have the same location for the turbo? I was under the assumption they both use different manifolds therefore the turbo location would be different, maybe only slightly.

Old FM Manifolds were made by BEGi. My pretty sure they have the same geometry.

I could not find any pictures of a new BEGI kit with TDR IC. IIRC when FM and BEGI split they both designed (or at least FM) new manifolds for their kits. If BEGI didnt redesign a new manifold as is using the same manifold as the older FM kits then I assume that they already have the piping available.

I think there was some design changes but it doesn't move the turbo location.

That way BEGi's new Mani would be compatibile with their old stuff and with old FM parts.

Call BEGi i'm sure they would be happy to explain.

So youre saying BEGI is using the same manifold for their new kits that they designed back for FM? Corky???

Are you saying the updated FM I/C kit is $1200 or the TDR?

Gary makes the pipe you need, just the hotside unit. I ran the TDR IC on my car with an MP62, FM radiator, etc etc. The Hydra datalogs showed awesome air temps and coolant temps even during 40 minute sessions on track. Blower was pullied for 13psi. One thing I did to keep the post IC air as cool as possible was insulate that pipe with foil covered foam, pertty thin stuff, used for AC systems in homes. Got a roll cheap from Home Depot. Since the outlet pipe is close to the upper radiator hose, I felt the coolant heat would affect the outlet pipe temp.

You don't even have to worry about clocking the turbo with the Begi-S kit. It's already clocked to the up position.
