i love the car man, i really like the color, i regret not going a few shades darker on mine, i will next time around though, right now i have the titanium metalic
nice build on the motor though

cams, i was under the impression that turbo cars like less duration and more lift, not the other way around...are you sure about those cams? if you know something i dont, please educate me!

the manifold is an hks unit, as most of his kit was from hks.

thanks for all your comments
it was a hks kit with a fcon mini
but i upgraded to a full hks fcon v pro very simple to fit and easily mapped
the car with the white fog lights in the bumper is a friends rover mgzr
were i work we import the eunos roadsters from japan we have turbod and supercharged both 1.6 and 1.8 and the 1.6's seem to take the strain a little more and have found
less problems we have had a ouple of heads crack on the 1.8

its taken a hell of alot of pennies to get to this it started out life as a red jap eunos that had been paint silver o tidy it up and then crashed (not by me) and i bought it cheap avin only seen a few uk miles straightend it out and fitted a hks turbo with piggy back ecu 1.8 injectors, rx7 fuel pump, diy dual feed fuel rail adj. fuel pres reg a intercooler and a oilcooler
and then got used as a track car with myself and four other mechanics for were i work thrashing the pants off it
we was very impressed to say the least
i then decided to use it as a road car and as the majority of my friends had 'pretty' looking cars i thought i best meet the standard
we now have fleet of mx5's
1.8 turbo with t28 550cc injectors and a hydra nemsis
1.8 supercharged DTA ecu
1.6 hks turbo with a intercooler and 1.8 injectors and pigy bk
my 1.6 turbo
and a half built v8 with fds3 rx7 subframes suspension and brakes a ford t5 gearbox (very slow project)

Was the f-con mini used with a harness or was it hard-wired in? I have one of the very early hks setups and trying to see if anyone else has more specs on the old f-con that looks like a small plastic box with wires coming out of it. How much power did you get out of it with the f-con mini and 1.8 injectors, any idle issues?

So it is water cooled too? Where did you get the lines for the water and oil for the turbo? Where did you get the tubing for the air intake going to the turbo? You seem to have a ton more room in your car than mine, and I have a 96. Weird. I love the setup though.

Also, did you polish the head yourself? If so how did you go about it exactly?

the fcon mini had a harnes then hard wired in with the basic hks kit an intercooler and 1.8 injectos i got about 170 - 180bhp i also adjusted the timing (trail and error to be honest with the timing just advanced it until it pinked underload and then backed it off accordingly had to be retarded more on a hot trackday etc)

the only idle isues i had/have is because of the dump valve obviously on idle it pulls a vacume thus pulling the dump valve open and creating a air leak i have since bought a HKS ssqv which solves this problem other than that i couldn't fault it and to say the thrashing it had it lasted well

yes the turbo is watercooled the pipes have compression fitting on one end and banjo's on the other i had them made up by a place not to far away from were i live that specalise in hoses they also made the oil return pipe and oil feed pipe the oil feed is taken from the back of the block (didn't take a pick of it fitted sorry)

all the heater hoses, inlet manifold hoses(not in pics), upper and lower water hoses were bought as a full set from www.mx5parts.co.uk

all the rest of the silicone hose, is from company called venair and are very good quality www.venairsport.co.uk

yes i polished the rocker cover myself i spent alot of time with wet and dry sand paper and then polished it on a industrial buffing machine i dont really like it and am going to cut the cambelt cover off it and have it painted

alot of things have been removed from the engine bay
washer bottle is in the boot
most of the wiring has been chopped or re-routed down the inner wings
alot of little brackets etc that aren't used have been removed
the carcoal filter (thing that condenses fuel vapour and returns to tank) has been removed
power steering has been removed and fitted with a quick rack
aircon has been removed including the part within the heater matrix
the clucth pipe has been shortend to just a braided flexi (makes a hell of a diffence and feels very nice)
the expansion tank has been removed just keep a eye on the water level after a very long run it leaves a very very smal puddle very efficent cooling system
the front panel conecting the chassi legs together has been cut out and the legs welded up as i have braced it accros the antiroll bar, subframe and have a strut brace from side to side and to bulk head (will only become a problem if i have a shunt)

im a bit lost in translation, lol
when you say chassis leg, what do you mean...

and whats a shunt?

i am also interested in your clutch line, i have access to a hydraulic shop that will build anything to spec...how is it different, less pedal effort, less travle, etc.-pics would be golden
