So, I have a plan on upgrading the Miata clutch hydraulics. I’m tired of replacing Mazda’s dinky little slave cylinder. Iv tried oem ones with my upgraded clutch (which has a very heavy pressure plate). I have replaced the slave cylinder 4 times in the past 2 years very annoying. My plan is to use a Chevy c10 slave cylinder and master cylinder using adapter plates to mount them. I’m going to measure the slaves throw. And if the c10 slave goes past the oem throw I am going to use a clutch stop to get it where I want it. (I am aware if the slave over extends the clutch fork it will do serious damage) that’s why I’m going to be taking measurements while I have someone push in the clutch and tell them when to stop pushing it in if it goes past oem throw.
