if anything you can throw a restrictor on the vacuum line to simulate less vacuum. But I'm sure the ECU can compensate for a 10% larger injector.

stock injector is 230cc correct? 305cc is 25% bigger right? i don't think the ecu will deal with a 25% better flow rate. i being a cheap jerk and i'm trying to avoid the expense of good electronics(hillbillies don't like new fangled things and we rig everything); i'm only shooting for 8 psi with a Sanford and Son turbo kit . i read where many of the old 90-93 miatas get away with bigger injectors without electronics. i'm just trying to do the same with my posc.

technically speaking you could run the engine incredibly lean and get the same power, egts, etc... the only downer being uncontrollable NOx emissions because there wouldn't be sufficient carbons in the exhaust stream for the catalytic converter to do it's think.

I was curious because I'm working up the energy to bolt on the rx7 afm, and I need a target idle afr.

it's a big conspiracy carved in stone by your friends at M.net

94-97 (tan) 265cc
99-00 (red) 240cc
01-05 (purple)(incl. MSM) 265cc

one place says one thing, another somthing else. as much as these forums have helped me in my quest for fire breathing miata(oxymoron), the conflicting data provides fun confusion. i'm going to have faith in braineack(with 2793 posts i'll believe him). in the end it seems my idea has merit. i'll give it a shot with the larger injectors, worst case i run rich and i can always go back to little ones

Dude. Where did you get the 330s from?

Thinking: why bother with 1.8s? Are 330s a better choice than 305s for power potential vs. set-up? What's your duty-cycle with the 330s?

hijack.

At the top of the post see Flyin Miata's flow test results:
https://www.miataturbo.net/forums/sh...6&postcount=17

The 1.8 injectors in my car tested at 266 cc/min at 43.5 psi (3 bar).

305s may work (?) without any modifications in your obdII car. Definately worth a shot.
