I don't understand. It sounds like Concealer is saying the big Magnaflow (I assume 5x11x22 12578) is not quiet. Did I miss something?

For the record, i don't know which Magnaflow is on the Enthuza. It's big, though.

I was just pointing out that David's car is nowhere near as loud as Brain made it out to be. At least... in comparison. He calls me while he's driving it all the time and we can have conversations quite easily.

On the flip side, my Enthuza-equipped car with a big (again, not sure if it's the 12578) Magnaflow muffler doesn't even let me hear my phone ring, and forget about having a conversation if i try to call someone else while driving it.

Excellent. This is the same one I'll be using

Edit Derp! I'll be using the 12579, not the 89

afaik- part numbers just differentiate inlet/outlet locations. offset/offset vs. offset/center. Otherwise they are the same straight through design.

There's another one that instead of having 1 3" pipe straight through it has 2 2.5" pipes between the two, that one is supposed to be quieter, its like what comes on their non-droning truck exhausts or something like that.

No, its a 3" in 3" out, but inside the muffler is 2 2.5" perf tubes rather than 1 3".

Found this- MF13743- It's not the 22x11x5.... It's a pleasing sausage-y cylinder..

MagnaFlow Stainless Steel, Dual Core, Universal Muffler - XL Turbo Series - Satin Finish MagnaFlow Mufflers MF13743

EDIT: MF13219 has some different dimensions, 4x9x20..

Google that PN here on MT, we have a whole thread about it.

It's industrial and girthy. mmmm..

At a 7" diameter, I wonder if it could be placed in the heatshielded area where the catalytic converter previously resided....

it's also highly dependent on what i/o's you ended up with. you should not be using a C/C muffler.
I did it way back in 07 or 08. Current muffler is horizontal though.

"Turbo" mufflers are like the "turbo" button on your 386. It makes the system run SLOWER
