Default Maxed out injectors

So I've tried searching and can't find the answer to my question. What does it feel like to max out your injectors? Is there a physical feeling in the engine? The reason I ask is, if I wot I get to 4000 rpm and car doesn't go faster. Speed stays the same and Rpms stay around 4000. It kind of seems like a slipping clutch. If it was the clutch slipping, wouldn't the rpms rev higher? If I'm easy on the throttle it drives normal. So Would this be what maxing out injectors "feel" like? Or something else?

Finding a maxed out injector is easy -- data log the ECU and look at the max duty cycle you've used.

Maxed out fuel pumps manifest as a lean spot that doesn't go away when you increase the injector duty cycle in those zones.

Maxing out your injectors feels like looking at your wideband and seeing your AFRs going too lean

Edit: you said you're on band aids, do you have a wideband at all?

Maxing out your injectors feels like detonation in boost and a loss of power that accompanies the pistons and rings breaking. What does your wideband say when the car stops accelerating?

So I finally have a wideband and a boost gauge. When this "happens" AFR goes full lean when I'm at 8 psi, which is what the internal wastegate is. My aids are as follows: msd retard box, stock 1.8 tan top injectors, and a 1:8 fmu. Also idle is stupid rich between 11.5-12.5.

Is your FMU hooked up to a good vac/boost reference? Kinda sounds like its pressure port is open to atmosphere. You need a fuel pressure gauge.
