How decent are these as intercoolers go? I can get one for fairly cheap and I wanted some smart peoples opinions on them before I went for it.

It will be going on a 92 miata with no a/c coil to worry about. I have a turbo but I might get rid of it and purchase another, but I'm thinking a small/medium sized turbo with little to no boost lag. If turbo size even matters in choosing an intercooler, and however much boost is needed to get me to the 180/220 hp range.

question is, used mazdaspeed miata intercooler. cheap, should i get it?

As for the cooler, it will do fine.

It will do fine on a small turbo setup and 180-200hp goals, but otherwise its weak and there's a reason everyone lets them go super cheap.

 

for the price I'd rather have the CXracing 12x12x3 IC.

 

I have the old style FM intercooler, just took it off my car last week. I don't have any piping for it though. I was gonna take photos of it and put it in the classifieds, but make me an offer.
