Found a used 2003 MSP turbo near me that I'm probably going to go pick up and use for my build unless anyone objects. There's very little info on this but maybe someone is running this/has run this setup.

2003 MSPs came with T25 turbos, aka GT2554RLS (or rsl something like that). Same dimensions and measurements as the off the shelf GT2554R, just needs clocking and a wastegate actuator to fit in a miata setup. From what I understand it's basically like using an SR turbo. I'm going to go check it out and check shaft play, etc. Any objections to running it if it checks out in person? Should I rebuild it?
