Hi all,

I have a MX5 1997 MK1 1.8 car with a turbo on it. However, the body wiring harness for various reasons can no longer be used. My question is will a 1.6 body harness fit to the vehicle to run things like ignition, wipers, lights etc the same as the 1.8? I will modify the engine harness as it is on a standalone ECU and I have the connectors from the 1.8 engine. However, I can only find a 1.6 harness on eBay so I just need that harness to do work for the rest of the car?

 

It should work for the majority of it. Let me check with a friend and see if he has any spare complete harnesses.
