Default My Car Is Bling-Blangin'

Bling-Blangin' Rich that is!

Just got off the dyno. Got it back up to 172hp/146tq at 10:1

I need to test my FMU to see why it's so rich. I couldn't lean it out no matter what I did! I had my MBC maxed so I couldn't add more power to lean it out. I'm pretty sure it's the FMU and I'm sure if I can lean it out it will make lots more power. But driving home it seems to pull WAY harder than it ever did and the curve itself looks a lot nicer. I'll have it posted later on, no scanner right now.

It's nearly identical to my last dyno, the only difference is that I lost some low end torque, but the horsepower stills higher longer. And as you can see I need to work the a/f, once I get that figured out I'm sure I'll be making more power than that.

I'm pretty sure I need a 6:1 ratio not a 8:1 ratio that I put in.

The damn thing still pull like bloody hell up 125mph. Pulls a lot harder than it did before. I should have video form a car behind me on the track that caught it blowing flames out the back during a shift (heh heh).

youll be pleasently surprised if you lean it out more...my car was bucking and coughing at anything under 10:1afr,,, i picked up between 7-10 Rwhp going from 11:1 to 12:1 so you can see what sort of gains youll get.....have a look at my nice flat E manage curve!!!

http://miata.cardomain.com/ride/264041/6

BTW ive noticed that many FI'd cars seem to have a HP dip at about 6000-6100rpm...must be a quirck of the engine.....

Are you referring to forced-induction Miatas? I've never really noticed that. In fact, I just went looking at a bunch of Miata dyno charts and didn't really see that phenomenon on any of them. It sounds more like maybe a slight misfire or related issue. If the spark's gonna blow out, it'd be more likely at higher RPMs, I would think. Or maybe you've got too much timing pulled.
