Default My China Turbo (maxspeedingrods)

My friends..

I decided to join the china charger group recently by purchasing....well a chinese made turbo.

The company that made it are called maxspeedingrods...properly chinese.

They have a website http://www.maxspeedingrods.com and as far as i am aware they have distrbution facilities in both the US and UK

I bought mine on Tuesday and it was here by Thursday. I paid 215 euro.

Ebay link http://m.ebay.ie/itm?itemId=221403385474
The turbo i have in my car at the moment is a t25 from an s13 nissan. The turbo seals are pretty screwed so i decided to change it.

This new turbo is a gt2871

Here are some images of. Lovely big bast**d

As you can see the waste gate port needs work. Its tiny. Ill be posting updates of my experiences with this turbo over the next while. Im hoping to get it looked at by my turbo man and get the balance looked at.

Any thoughts welcome x

Thats what she said

You are correct, its tiny. Plan is to open it up with a die grinder as much as i can.

Ive heard with some chinese turbos the flange for the exhaust and dp can be different to that of a standard garrett. Hopefully that doesnt prove to be the case in this instance.

Ill investigate ALL the things

Looks like your typical chinacharger. Only time will tell how it holds up.

This is correct. Many of them are off by just millimeters too, so they appear to be correct but don't actually work.

This is my biggest fear at this point.

I guess a possibility if that was to come about would be to try and use my T25 Exhaust housing. Time will tell

Don't grind it too far to the right in that picture. If you do, the flapper can hang on the opening as it closes and will stick open. The top, bottom, and left side are OK to go most of the way.

this was exactly what happened once with my chrubo:

a backfire opened the valve completely and I returned home with no boost at all.
After a good tune never happened again

lol:

Dear webmaster,
I am very sorry to see the bad review of our products. For the product problems, we have communicated positvely with customers to get this case settled. In addition, we take product quality seriously and we improved the products as much as possible. Again,we are so sorry for what happened, but if there is a way to make the bad review removed? We would like to do our best to make up for our miatakes. Thanks.

Here is the review details below:

Apparently your post here was picked up by them and perceived as a negative review, and they're asking the webmaster (brain) to remove it.
