Okay so im doing the install on my turbo like i stated in previous thread. However, Im stuck with these damn injectors I have 305cc supra injectors. but there shorter than stock ones and when i have them all the way in, there is a little play with the injectors, is this safe? i have even removed both the spacers from the 2 bolts in the fuel rail.

 

Depending on what you mean by "play" you'll most likely end up with a vacuum leak. You can find out in about 2 seconds by cranking the car.

You're going to have a fuel leak i'm guessing. Do you have the lower insulators on the injectors?

 

Those are supposed to be a direct replacement, there should not be any play there. Play=no good! Something is wrong, did you maybe make a mistake? You certain those are the 305cc supra injectors?

 

If you had to remove the fuel rail spacers to make those "fit" something is wrong. You could have a fire on your hands if you don't get this right.

 

Post up a pic of the stock and supra injectors side by side.

 

All fixed, was just simple mistake of one of the injectors being a PIA and not wanting to go in all the way.

Very easy mistake to make...especially when reusing the rubber isolators on the bottom. I've gotten into the habit of just ordering new rubber anytime I touch the rail because not having them all sit flush can kill o-rings up top or cause them not to seal evenly.

 

This happened to me when I swapped my engine, had a huge fuel leak and fire hazard on that first start up...
