How outdated is Maximum Boost by Corky Bell?
Hey guys. I picked up the book after seeing it mentioned in the forum. It was published in the late 90s but seems solid. I was wondering if there were any glaringly outdated sections of the book I should know about?

People reading Maximum Boost should be the ones that don't know basic FI theory and operation. It is the gateway you can say. Anything more than a basic overview will require additional research.
Great book though, I read it at least a couple times and I was already quite familiar with FI.

Most of the book is about theory. It teaches you how to read compressor maps, how to understand the dynamics of air mass vs. volume, there's a bit of math, lots of general principles... None of that stuff has changed over the years.
It's a book about turbocharging, not a book about engine management. There is some discussion of fuel and ignition management, but it's hardly the meat of the book.
I still keep this book close at hand near my desk.

The equations in the book havent changed. Some of the theory and opinion isnt valid because technology has come such a long way in 20 years. Its a decent book, there still really isnt anything better out and trying to write something new on this topic would be silly with the internets.
