Default Oil supply thread pitch/size ????

Hi All,

I started with two seized T25's from unknown sources (cars, not people) and sent them off to be re-built to end up with one good one.

It's been returned (looks awesome), but I'm really struggling with the thread pitch for the oil supply so I can order my banjos.

The water inlet and outlet are 3/8 NPT and the oil dain is a huge round screw in type as a pose to the normal two bolt flange fixing one.

I'm pressuming the oil supply will be some form of NPT.

Anyone any ideas?

If it's any use, it's very close to M12 as an M12 x 1.5 will start to screw in, but only for a couple of threads (and done gently).

Cheers,

Pat...

if it's close to M12, that one HUGE inlet....

Most t25s are 7/16-24 inverted flare or 1/8"

Ah, 7/16 inverted flare sounds the most likely suspect!

Hang on.....

Nope - just run out to the garage and tried a seatbelt bolt and it drops right into the hole.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Pat...

Hi Pat,
I wonder if you can help me. I have a t25 with that odd threaded hole oil outlet- I'm guessing that it is similar to the unit you own and has posted about earlier this year. I have been able to find out that it it is a "inverted Flare Fitting" , probably mm22X1.5.

Just curious, what did you end up using to plumb your oil return line?. I have a line on a mm22X1.5 adapter from Earls- but it is simply a threaded plug- to an 10 adapter, and not a flare fitting.
