Default Did I **** up by going internal WG?

I got in on the first run of the new BEGi manifolds and as such got it for about $150 off. I went with the T3 flange and internal gate, now I'm hearing a lot of people say internal gates are a pain in the *** to get proper boost control with. Is this a big enough deal to sell this manifold and find an externally gated one?

Depends on your overall power goals.. A lot of people here with 250HP and over are running internal WG and dont seem to be having many problems.

Internal wastegates are WORTHLESS! I'll give you $20 to take your boat anchor/ manifold off your hands.

Just wish I'd have gotten in on the early buy myself.

The nice thing about them is they're cheap and functional. Save it for a future upgrade.

Maybe I wasn't sarcastic enough. The "worthless" comment from me is about as authoritative as George Bush talking about middle east diplomacy.

Internals work fine as long as they are big enough.

I wasn't commenting on you....I was commenting on Tyler saying they are a pain in the *** and not worth it.

Didn't BEGI make an adapter for the T3 manifolds to drop the turbo lower and add an external gate? I seem to remember a post about it somewhere.

FWIW,
All of the cars that had T3s from the factory ran the interal gate without problems.

No, you didn't **** up by going with an internally gated turbo. Sometimes you need to port the wastegate to get solid boost control, but more often than not you won't need too. Additionally the internal gates are cheaper and more compact. Externally gated turbo setups are often better, but not always, and sometimes the difference is not appreciable. Additionally if you run a divorced downpipe you'll find that the internal gate is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. That said, I prefer an external wastegate to an internal wastegate given the choice.
