Default Pcv

I got a question: i have a turbo on my 97 miata, i blocked the intake side of the pcv valve and i put a catch can with a filter and realated it to both sides of the valve cover. Is it the safest way or no ?

The problem was the turbo was sucking the oil as i mounted the a hose from the valve cover on the turbo side to the inlet of the turbo. Also oil was getting sucked from vaccum by the engine

If you don't want your engine ingesting it. Then use the Deezum method with those air oil separators with an electric vacuum pump and a vacuum reservoir.

Am I missing something? It sounds like hes running what Brain posted in the definitive catch can thread. I don't think he capped the actual intake side of the valve cover, i think he capped the intake manifold.

How is any crankcase vacuum created in that setup? What is the point of the pcv in that setup?
Both questions can be answered the same. "There is none."

A pcv is a check valve that allows the intake to pull vacuum from the crankcase, not add pressure.
In that drawing, the pcv connects to what exactly?
The bottom line is, the crankcase needs some form of vacuum. There are several reasons why.

So will a vacuum pump work or was it a joke ?
