hey guys i just used the search part and couldn't really find my answer to my question, but i'm sure its been answered before. What would be the highest ammount of hp i can run "safely" if i don't wanna upgrade my rearend (1.8) trans and bottom end of my engine? i want to do an all out build and hit like 350whp but for the ammount it costs, the belfab kit with WI and MS is looking better and better and better.

there are a lot of definitions to "reliable", i don't know much about the 1.8 rear end and motor butttt, i would say after about 250fp/t to the rear end it will break and that the engine wont hold much more then 260whp... I know on the 1.6's the stock internals start to go bad around 240-250whp.
