For the 1.6 manifold it looks like they don't drill two holes (#1 and #4 cylinder port center holes) in the exhaust manifold. Does anybody know why?

 

its the angle of the shot and the curve of the ports....trust me, there are hole there that's a great little manifold.

 

I have there greedy replacement and the quality is top notch.

 

ETD makes good stuff...mkulak is very familar with them, try to PM him

if you scroll down to the miata 1.6 flange there are two holes supposed to be above #1 and #4 cylinder port centers. But there aren't.

For those who dont know what I'm talking about here's a pic of a BBR 1.6 turbo kit (couldnt find pics of BEGi/FM manifold):

And look at the gasket/manifold flange.

 

Go have a look at your car maybe?

They are there on the gasket but not used on the head.

Ok that clears things up. I was under the impression that those are stud holes.
