I'm not too sure.. I just have FM/Begi stuff. Message dc2696, he's also local with far more experience in the miata game. He usually has custom stuff so I assume he might know a shop or two.

and.. holy thread hi-jack!

Carry on, folks.

As the OP I have full exclusive rights to all tangents that this thread may take. At least I think I do.

I'm running an Xede/550's on my 94 at 10psi - never had any idle concerns. Even passes the CA smog sniffer test.

Correct?
Depends... If the minimum on time for the injector still flows too much fuel for idle then it will be rich. Option is to lower fuel pressure, or raise idle speed. If you try to run an injector below is minimum on time it may not open and you won't get any fuel, or incorrectly metered fuel or poor pattern, same problems with too low fuel pressure.

Ahh, makes sense. Thanks.

Note that the non-return NB fuel system does not have a fuel pressure that rises with MAP. It starts out at a higher base pressure than the NAs, but by 180kpa you're down substantially, so you need bigger injectors than an NA would. I'm hitting 80% duty cycle at 12 psi on a 2560 (244rwhp on a dynapack).

So 440 sounds marginal on an '02 at 12psi to me, unless you've converted it to a return fuel system.

Quick follow up question.

I thought my 550cc RX-7 part #. 195500-2020 injectors were 100% plug and play in a 2002 Miata.

Then I was told I may a wiring harness/adaptor per injector ? Any one know for sure which it is ?

I run these, you need the square connectors:

injector connector 4p kit DSM RX7 200sx Jeep Mitsubishi : eBay Motors (item 290386560420 end time Mar-31-10 00:23:11 PDT)

They work great.

So they're only plug and play with the injector clips?

I know, doesn't make Plug-N-Play mean what I thought it did.

Glad I asked even though I felt that I might get ridiculed, much better than finding out when the car is apart and then flipping out.

Will these wheels fit my car? Sure just throw them on. But they are a 5 bolt wheel, oh ya once you drill and all that stuff they just fit right on........

I was hesitant about wiring in clips at first...but I've done it twice now and it's easy. I'd consider it plug and play.

White wire with red stripe connects to front (of car) wire on the clip when injectors are installed and connector is pointing upward.

2 wires per injector is easy to splice I just thought from all the plug and play talk that the stock clips would just plug right into the 550's and I wouldn't have to buy anything.

The ones that are like that are the 2010s I believe.

They are completely plug and play...but hard to find and expensive.

There is one set on eBay right now that looks nice.

Those look exactly like the RC injector clips FM has forsale on their website. Well it looks like it anyways. They also said their clips fit RC and Ford style injectors. So.. might be a good idea to hop in a pick n pull or something and try the clips on your injector. Cheap and save on shipping.. etc..
