Small crack in header HELP!
Sorry I forgot you mentioning you had a 1.8 just wanted to make sure it was pointed out somewhere. From what I've heard about ebay tubular manis you'd be better off getting a real one whether it be cast or tubular. There are a few members on this site that build manifolds too. It also sounds like you need to get yourself a smaller turbo

Hey John, Its not a 1.8. I have a 1.6 its just a 1.8 manifold. I thought i mentioned that the day I met the guy who built this motor. Maybe it was on Cr.net. Anyways that's what i have. And i aggree that I def need a smaller snail. But I'm sure that the reason for the lag is contributed by the crack too. So i kinda wanted to repair that befor making any premature decisions ya know?
But if I decide to get rid of it I will galdly let you know.

So.....the PO magically changed the port spacing? Its clear from pictures of the engine that it is indeed a 1.6, but without completely re-tooling the manifold that just doesn't make sense.
PROTIP: People that "know what the **** they are doing" generally don't write at a 5th grade (maybe lower) level. Spell check ************.

Well as far as the re-tooling goes I suppose thats what was done. Because It is a mani for the 1.8. And that has been clarified by several other members on this forum as well as M.net.
I will take some really good pictures as soon as i get this all back together. I dont know man...It really doesnt make sense to me either, but what does anymore?
