yeah people love to buy cars with pistons that are blown apart into smitherenes. I know that given the typicall test drive i or anyone else does you would have a lump of metal by the end of the inspection. Part of getting the **** running is getting it to run, boost makes heat, heat makes detonation happen. Detonation kills your motor.

I wouldn't buy a miata if it was boosting less than 20psi. I recommend you turn it up at least to 20psi for the buyer test drive.

My best guess is luck. Pretty sure luck is also whats keeping this motor from blowing up.
