I like that it looks like a cat and not a test pipe

I'd like to see the data, I doubt you'd pass emissions. But here I just got a 200 cell metal core cat...

Wold you mind asking your sister if she's seen my wallet? I have the feeling I may have left it on her dresser last night.

Exhaust will flow in and out of the active material with each pulse - that's how the silencing works in straight through exhausts.

Looks like a 'rally cat.' Back in the day, certain Rally rules dictated the use of cats. To ensure you didn't just wrap a heatshield around a testpipe, during tech they'd measure your exhaust temperature at both ends of the cat. It had to be hotter on the outlet side.

So somebody got clever and dipped a testpipe into a catalyst wash. It produced just enough heat to be legal.

This Carsound cat looks like the same idea.
